Becky's Page
I first met Becky in the local village pub, but then
later we went to Greece to work. On the wonderful
romantic Island of Zante we started to see each other in a different light.
I worked over there in several bars on the Island,
"she was working as a waitress in a restaurant in a cocktail bar" (Human Leauge - Don't You Want Me Baby) and we had to live together to keep the
cost of rent down on the apartment. Soon we started to see each other
and enjoyed many a lazy afternoon drinking G+T's by the pool. Life
was good, I mean really good then! but it was short lived 'cause
Becky had to go back to England Due to her Grandfather becoming ill.
I had to stay in Greece to fullfil my contract but it wasn't the
same there without her. We kept in touch everyday via E-mail and I would
phone her every night. Its when you can't be with your partner that you realise
how much you miss them and you realise just how deeply in love you are.
This was a very difficult time for both of us but I knew that soon my contract would end
and I would go back home. Would it be the same when I got back? I really didn't Know
but I had to drive back 2000 miles to find out! The answer came to me 3 days
before I set off home in the form of an E-mail from Becky. It was Going
to be alot better! We had both felt the same apart and it is true that absence
makes the heart grow fonder. The best part of the E-mail was that she didn't want me to drive
back on my own so she had booked a flight over to Greece Just so she could
keep me company on the journey home.
We had a great time on the drive back
with romantic stops in Paris, Lille and London.
For now life at home is back to normal, Becky is back at college and I'm back
gigging on the circuit in the North West, However, we are still madly in
love and are now looking forward to going back to Zante Next May.
